Formalin (Formaldehyde 35%)
Formalin (Formaldehyde 35%)

Description

Formalin (Formaldehyde 35%) 25 Litres.

Formaline is composed of formol or formalin: a solution of 35-40% of the chemical formaldehyde in water. The solution also contains methanol at about 10-15%. Formalin solutions of more than 5% formaldehyde, such as Formaline, are used as a powerful, industrial detergent. Formaline is used foto sterilize heat-sensitive objects, including blood-stained instruments, cystoscopes, and laparoscopes. In its gaseous form, Formaline is also used in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Similarly, it is used as an environmental disinfectant, to clean extremely contaminated rooms. Rooms cleaned with Formaline must be aired after treatment. Caution must be exercised when using Formaline.

Application of Formaline (Formaldehyde 35%)

For general purpose disinfection, dilute 1 part Formaldehyde in 4 parts water (1:4). Apply solution to surfaces at 400ml per square metre.

For fogging, you should apply Formaline neat. Spread Formaline at a rate of 10 Litre per 10,000 square feet of floor space, approximately 10,000 square feet. EXERCISE CAUTION. After fumigation, do not re-enter the room for at least 2-3 hours. Always be sure to check the atmospheric levels of formaldehyde. These should be well below the specified maximum exposure limit (MEL) before you re-enter. You should be in possession of a Formaldehyde Fumigant Neutraliser before you use Formaline.

For use in footbaths, dilute at the rate of 5% v/v Formaldehyde in water. Use as required, always exercising caution.

Key reasons to use Formaline:

Disinfectant: use as an extremely powerful, industrial detergent

Fogging: use for fogging with care

Footbaths: use in footbaths as a cure for disease

Key features of Formaline:

  • Extremely powerful detergent
  • Hazardous product
  • Exercise caution when using
